Broome-Tioga BOCES offers GED/TASC classes for students 18 years or older, as well as a home study program, GRASP (Giving Ready Adults a Study Program) for students 21 years or older to help students prepare for the GED/TASC exam.  Both are offered at no charge.

The first step in pursuing your GED/TASC is to attend a registration meeting.  GED/TASC registration meetings are held each Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Johnson City Learning Center, 500 Main Street, Johnson City, NY.  Registration includes assessment testing in reading and math.  After registering, students may enroll in any of the GED/TASC classes listed below.

GED/TASC Alternative Program for High School Students 

This program is for high school students ages 16-21 who are at risk of not completing the requirements for a high school diploma.  The program's goal is to help students successfully obtain a GED/TASC diploma, increase their life-skill training and assist with obtaining employment.  Program options include half-day academic preparation or full-day academic preparation with work experience opportunities. Enrollment through your local school district.
